Viafarini is pleased to introduce Visioni (s)velate, an exhibition with the participation of the artists of the VIR Viafarini-in-residence residency program from January to April 2022. The shared studio in via Carlo Farini 35 will be open to the public for the occasion, in the evenings of 28 and 29 April from 7.30 to 10.30 pm.

The exhibition, curated by Elena Bray, arises from a dialogue with the artists that took place during the months of residence and focuses on the theme of vision. In the construction of the image of a work, which visual elements come into play? How does the use of certain artistic mediums change our perception of the work? Can a particular setting change the use of an object and consequently its meaning? For Visioni (s)velate each artist has been called to reinterpret his own practice and to choose a work that involves these questions.

The exhibition will include: Emanuele Caprioli, The great projection, 2022; Matheus Chiaratti, Nervos, 2022; Clarissa Falco, Doll's polyphony, 2020; Carlo Galli, Meatball, 2022; Silvia Mantellini Faieta, Asking for love, 2022; Margherita Mezzetti, So soft and disheveled is this heart of stone, 2022; Lorenzo Montinaro, Più guardi, più scompaio, 2022; Raffaele Morabito, Addomesticare la morte, 2020-ongoing; Silvia Negrini, Sigh Sigh Boom, 2022; Silvia Paci, Aclufobia, 2022; Eleonora Roaro, I silenti sogni entrarono così nella sala, 2020; Luca Zarattini, Barca#1, 2014; Federica Zianni, Jelly Cocoon, 2021.

Visioni (s)velate is part of the public program of this Viafarini residency program, conceived as an opportunity for horizontal debate between different practices, in order to support and promote artistic research. The previous events of the programming were: Open Studio (March 29), Portfolio Review (April 8), the performance Vecchio Amore by Silvia Mantellini Faieta and the description of the curatorial project Ricordi di spazio by Catherine Bernabè (April 15).
