Hybrid realities
Kinetic & AI Generated Sculpture-Dress

by Studio Arch. Nina Songhori

At Archivio Viafarini, Fabbrica del Vapore, via Procaccini 4, Milan
Tuesday 16 to Sunday 21 April, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Press open day Tuesday 16 April in the morning

in collaboration with the group:
Leonardo Carminati, Amanda Gigliotti, Ludovico Graziano, Rebecca Novara, Norouzi Farnousha, Studio microchaos

The 'Hybrid Realities' are wearable sculptures, i.e. kinetic clothes inspired by the shapes of sea creatures, emphasising the deep connection between humanity and nature. These wearable artworks use a palette of colours and shades found in nature, particularly in the underwater world, such as shades of blue, green, silver, and other vivid hues reminiscent of tropical fish.
To create an interactive experience, the clothes are equipped with sensors that react to movement, altering their appearance in response to environmental stimuli. Movement gives the clothes a living quality, almost as if they 'come alive', interacting with people and their surroundings through their dynamism. A background animation, echoing the shapes and movements of the clothes, further amplifies this visual dialogue between man and nature, making the work an immersive, multi-sensory experience

Designer Nina Mohammadgholi Songhori is in residence at the Archivio Viafarini, where it is also possible to visit the works by artists Marcelina Braga, Nick Landucci and Rami Lazkani.
